On our way to St. Louis we stopped off and stayed a couple of days in Denver and one night in Kansas City. Most of our time in Colorado we spent resting up and relaxing. We did get a chance to explore a little bit but not as much as we would’ve liked to. Next time I’m there i’m going to make it a point to go to Rocky Mountain National Park and spend less time in the city. When we left Denver we made the brutally boring 10 hour drive through Kansas. About 6 hours in I spotted a random as shit billboard of Jesus in a wheat field and made Hattie pull over so I could get a shot of it. I gotta say, Kansas is a weird fucking state. I did get a chance to try some of the famous Kansas City “Burnt Ends” from Arthur Bryant’s BBQ. They were good. But having lived near the BBQ mecca that is Central Texas for the last 10 years, I wasn’t too impressed. We spent the next few days wondering around St. Louis. To our surprise, the zoo and most of the museums there are all free. On our last day there we discovered City Museum. I was going to try to cram it into this post but decided that it deserves an entire post all to itself.
